Allergy Shots – the Safe Way in Treating Dog Allergies

There is a reliable option for treating dog allergies when shampoos and other therapy have failed to work. Allergy shots are a viable option and they just require them to be formulated to meet the exact needs that the pet has. This is why it will often be referred to as a hyposensitizing vaccine. Different dogs will have varying sensitivities to allergen and as such, it would be expected that some vaccines will work differently depending on the dog’s sensitivity. The same breed of dogs will often still have varying levels of immunity. As the way forward, you should book an appointment with the vets and have them propose how the shorts are to be administered. Usually, it starts in small doses and as the dog gets accustomed to the vaccine, more will be given. Usually, the dogs should start showing a difference in levels of resistance to allergen after a period of up to 9 months.
